Comfort From Jesus' Return
How does Jesus' return comfort us when we go through the sorrows of this life?
Answer
The church has this blessed hope that Jesus is coming back in glory and he will "judge the living and the dead," as we repeat in the Nicene Creed. Without the second coming of Jesus, history loses its meaning. When Jesus comes again, this world will be corrected. We will see justice and love spread again. Evil, sorrow, diseases will disappear as we start living eternal life in the new heavens and new earth.
