Scott C. Jones is Associate Professor of Biblical Studies at Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, GA. He has been on faculty since 2005. Scott earned a Ph.D. from Princeton Theological Seminary in 2007, an M.Div. from Reformed Theological Seminary in 2001, and a B.A. from University of Mississippi in 1999. He is a member of the Society of Biblical Literature, the Catholic Biblical Association, and the National Association of Professors of Hebrew, and is also the Old Testament editor for the Illuminations commentary series, published by Wm. B. Eerdmans. He has published numerous articles, a book on Job 28 as poetry, and an essay on how biblical writers thought about and described animals, specifically lions and serpents. He is now writing a commentary on the book of Habakkuk, which will be followed by one on the first book of the Psalter (Psalms 1-41). He enjoys family vacations, playing with his kids, rock climbing, disc golf, hiking, and watching football (American).
