The churches that received the epistle to the Hebrews had several problems or issues they had to resist. Among these issues was the persecution that almost every single first-century believer suffered from. This persecution emptied them into thinking that maybe they could go back to the old way of living. Maybe they could find a slightly easier way to be saved; therefore, they would consider not following Jesus as the only savior, and conform to the reality of the Jews of their time.
