Joshua Appel is a teaching Fellow and coordinator of New Saint Andrews College's third-year, team-taught, integrated humanities course, Traditio Occidentis. Mr. Appel joined the College faculty in 2004 after receiving his M.A. in Christian Thought at Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, FL. He also took graduate courses in philosophy at Gonzaga University, Spokane, WA, in fall 2001. He received his B.A. in Liberal Arts and Culture, Summa Cum Laude, from New Saint Andrews College in May 2001. At the request of the administration and faculty of the College, Mr. Appel represented the Class of 2001 and presented the student address at the College's Fourth Commencement entitled, "The New Saint Andrews Experience." Mr. Appels senior thesis was entitled, Faith, Theodicy, and the Righteousness of God. In addition to his faculty responsibilities, Mr. Appel serves as a pastoral assistant to the Rev. Dr. Peter Leithart at Trinity Reformed Church in Moscow, ID. Mr. Appel, is the son of John and Betty Appel of Leavenworth, WA. Mr. Appel and wife Sara married in Colorado in June 2004 and now make their home in Moscow, ID.
