Is God omnificent?

God is omnipotent (all-powerful), omniscient (all-knowing), and omnipresent (present everywhere), but it is occasionally asked if God is omnificent. The word means “creating all things; having unlimited powers of creation.”

So, does God create all things? Does he have the unlimited powers of creation? While God did create the universe (Gen. 1:1; Jer. 32:17; Col. 1:15-17; Heb. 11:3) and it was "very good" (Gen. 1:31), the answer depends on how the word "omnificent" is being used concerning the personhood of God. If by it one means that God has the unlimited power to create all things according to his own nature and for his own glory, then God is absolutely omnificent.

However, if one removes the qualifying phrase "according to his own nature and for his own glory," then God isn't omnificent. Why? Because there are some things that God can't do. For instance, God can't create sin and he can't make a rock too big for him to move because these are against his nature. Please see "Things God Can't Do?" below.
