When we approach the Bible faithfully and appreciate its truthfulness, we will have a different attitude compared to those who do not believe the Bible to be the Word of God or those who treat the Bible as merely a product of men. We then make ourselves into judges or critics who try to put the Word of God beneath us. But for me, this is a fatal methodology, which is entirely different from what the Bible teaches us. Faith is a simple trust in authority, and the authority of the Bible is important for people who confess the Christian faith.
