Jesus a False Prophet? - Deuteronomy 13:5

Question

Deuteronomy 13:5 required that a false prophet should be put to death. Some Muslims assert if Jesus was put to death then this verse proves that he was a false prophet.

Answer

Deuteronomy 13:5 That prophet or dreamer must be put to death for inciting rebellion against the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt and redeemed you from the land of slavery. That prophet or dreamer tried to turn you from the way the LORD your God commanded you to follow. You must purge the evil from among you.
In other places Islam claims that Jesus did not literally die, but here that claim he did. Can't have it both ways and still be true! Here we observe that Islam make an error in logic: "A" implies "B" is not the same as "B" implies "A."

Example:

A = German
B = Speaks German

Being a German implies that one speaks German, however, being non-German doesn't imply that one does not necessarily speak German.

The fact that Jesus was put to death does not mean that he was a false prophet. True prophets were put to death (Zechariah the son of Berechiah - 2 Chron. 24:20-22; Abel - Gen. 4:8). This is a common feature in Jewish history (Matt. 23:29-35).

Besides, Jesus was put to death and rose again!

1 Corinthians 15:1-4 Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.
