God Delivers on Promises

Question

Does God deliver on his promises?

Answer

One of Best Buy's slogans is "We make technology deliver on its promises." God's promises are more sure than Best Buy's promise. He deals with more than just mere technology. He ALWAYS delivers on his promises. And no one needs to make him do it as it is a part of his holy nature. Deuteronomy 7:9 states, "Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commands." As Paul says in 1 Thessalonians 5:24, "The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it."

There are other differences between God's "Best Buy" theology and Best Buy's philosophy. That is that God's extended warranty costs nothing more and has a real lifetime guarantee (Rom. 8:35-39). God's promises are THE best buy; they were secured by another - Christ Jesus - and given to us by grace (2 Pet. 1:3).
