Who is the queen of heaven?
Answer
The "queen of heaven" mentioned in Jeremiah 7:18; 44:17-19,25 is not identified in Scripture by any other name. Some speculate that it was Ishtar (a.k.a. Ashtoreth, Astarte, etc.). Whatever the precise identification, it is clear from the contexts in which the term is used that it denoted a pagan goddess/idol.
