Series Detail

The Gospels

IN PRODUCTION: Scheduled for release Fall 2008.

The first four books of the New Testament — Matthew, Mark, Luke and John — are commonly known as "the Gospels." These books explain the life and teachings of Jesus, and are the basis for most of the distinctive doctrines of Christianity.

But how are Christians to interpret and apply these books today? Why do we have four different accounts of Jesus' life and teachings? Did these books intend to describe true history? How relevant are the viewpoints of these books in the modern world?

The Gospels is the first series in the course The Gospels & Acts.
